Detailed Trip:
You will start your morning by visiting the Pink city or you can say the main central city of the ancient Jaipur. And all the main touristic destinations are somewhat nearer to the Pink City. First you will visit the City Palace – Royal and huge Palace which tells about the Kachwaha Rajput clan with still existing and residential place of the Royal Family (built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in 1732). In the palace it has armory museum, art and crafts museum, chariot museum, gardens and the most famous two giant size water vessels made of pure silver called “Gangajali”. It nearly takes 2 hours to visit this palace.

After visiting the City Palace, just adjacent to the palace there is a world’s largest collection of architectural astronomical instruments called Jantar Mantar which still works and well preserved. It is listed in World Heritage List as well. It was built by Sawai Jai Singh in 1734 as he was very interested in learning about the sky and its stars. The name is derived as Jantar (instrument) and Mantar (calculation), so it is calculation instrument of the nakshatras (in Hindi) or stars of the sky. This instrument is still used by the astronomers for the perfect calculations.

After that you will proceed to see the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds which was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 which look like the design of Crown. Maharaja has made this palace for his Queens or Maharanis to watch the festivities or possessions in the city streets; it is designed in such a way that queens can see everything outside but nobody can see inside the walls. As its exterior wall is designed similar to honeycomb of a beehive with 953 small windows named as Jharokas with lattice work, this design allows the outer view for standing inside but people standing outside cannot see anything inside the wall. It is a five storey building.

After having the lunch, you will proceed for the oldest city of Jaipur where Amber Fort is situated.  Amber Fort is built on the hill top surrounded by the Aravali ranges and was built by Raja Man Singh I and  completed by Sawai Jai Singh in 1592. It is the combination of Mughal and Hindu architectural style. Near to that Jaigarh Fort is there where the world’s largest cannon on wheels is there called Jaivana. By returning you will have the snaps shot near the Man Sagar Lake and have the picturesque view of Jal Mahal,  palace made in center of the lake.
