Package Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to Leh

Leh was one of the important stop over on trade routes and the only mode of transport available to Leh from Delhi is by air as most of the roads and passes are covered due to snow. Once you reach Leh, our representatives will meet you at the airport and will help you in reaching the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities.

As it is a place with high altitudes, the entire day is left for acclimatization. Hence, save all your energy for the coming days to enjoy a stroll in the nearby local markets. You can also make preparations for shopping and trek. Once you complete the sightseeing, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Leh – Drive to Chilling – Trek to Tilat Sumdo

On the next day before you start your drive towards Chilling, halt at the beautiful confluence of Zanskar River and River Indus. You can also make a visit to one of the most popular villages of Leh-Chilling, which is famous for craftsmanship, mainly metal works.

Road journey to Chilling, which is 64 Km from Leh is very interesting due to the meandering hairpin bends. You can also visit to Chadar, the snow sheet at the river valley and can also go for trek for 1-2 hours along the river. You can have a wonderful experience by walking on the sheath of snow. Walk might be difficult at the initial moment, but later you find more interesting and you will enjoy it. Finally reach the tent and rest for the whole night.

Day 3: Trek from Tilat Sumdo to Tsomo Paldar (6 hours)

Trek is always better in the early hours, hence finish your breakfast sooner and go for a walk on the Chadar listening to the sounds of breaking snow. Upon walking on the sheath, the thickness of it can be easily found out.

On the way to trek, stop at a place where there is an availability for lunch and this would be at the place where there is abundant sunlight. You also find waterfalls on the way to designated campsite.

It is a kind of eye fest to the visitors on seeing the nature beauty and at night the sleeping bags would look more fascinating. You can have a sound sleep which overcomes all your hardships and troubles faced throughout the trek. After a peaceful sleep, you will find yourself healthy and strong enough gaining loads of energy to continue the trip.

Day 4: Trek from Tsomo Paldar to Tibb (8 hours)

This day would be the longest trek of the trip. So, have your breakfast without missing to gain energy and get ready for the longest trek. This trek also includes plenty natural scenic places with beautiful waterfalls and frozen peaks on the sides.

You may experience many troubles during the trek like passing through the narrow gorges and climbing the Rocky River bank, etc. You will find a lot of steep bends which are cut due to the water current. Have lunch in the hill side along the river bank and take some rest.

Later, start gearing up towards the camp site and have good sleep.

Day 5: Trek from Tibb to Nyerak Pullu (7 hours)

This day is dedicated to Chadar trek. There are many stunning scenic places with waterfalls along the way. You might also get a glimpse of a mountain fox during the trek here. Halt for lunch, on the way.

During the trek, you find a tree which is called as ‘Incense tree’ by the locals, which is covered with prayer flags and make your entry into Zanskar region. Local people who stay in this particular region use the branches of the tree for morning rituals.

By afternoon, you will reach the campsite near Nyerak village, which is placed on high altitudes. A dilapidated bridge, probably around 1000 years old, connects Nyerak to Lingshed. This area is marked by huts and grazing shelters for local people and you can stay in the campsite for the night.

Day 6: Trek back from Nyerak Pullu to Tibb

One more important trek to Tibb from Nyerak Pullu and this would be litt;le different when compared to other treks. As you trek, you will find the blanket of ice on the river, it breaks up and reforms again and again.

You trek past the locals, adorning their Gonchas, traditional woolen garment, walking towards their villages of Padum, Lingshed and Nyerak. It is a cusyom to greet the local people by saying hello. You also start hearing lots of stories about the region and the local people here.

Finally, you return to the campsite at Tibb to stay overnight.

Day 7: Trek from Tibb to Shingra Koma

Today, begin your trek from Tibb to arrive at Shingra. This day is going to be one of the most beautiful treks. You walk past high mountain walls that are on both sides of the river.

You might feel that you are walking amidst the walls of a castle. Do notice pug marks on this trail. These marks are footprints of ibex, snow-leopards or foxes. Halt for lunch on the way.

Finally, arrive at your camp site, which is an extremely huge one Relax and enjoy the scenery. Overnight camping.

Day 8: Trek from Shingra Koma to Tilad and Drive to Leh

This is the last day of trekking, you need to make use of the last day trek to view the scenic beauty of this paradise and enjoy a splendid walk on the frozen river.

Upon reaching the Tilad, you will say good-bye to the valley and the local people. After finishing your walk, drive back to the hotel where you are supposed to stay and finish all the Check-in formalities and relax in rooms for the remaining time and can stay for overnight even in the accommodated place.
