History of Rajasthan Forts Palaces

A historical place like Rajasthan has lots of history to be told. The Rajputana and royal state, has many forts and historical palaces where the history still lies uncovered. These forts, over the years, have been left abandoned, some are taken care of while the others are just not been bothered about. There is hardly any place across the state that does not have a history and a legend to tell. The history of the Rajasthan forts goes back to the time of the Harappan civilization. Parts of the state had been occupied by the Indus Valley Civilization, where the rulers had made great palaces, and forts. Now these forts have been turned into ruins while some are still standing upright. The forts and palaces here have been created by different rulers to save the people as well as the land from getting them in the hands of invaders.

 

Forts by the Indus valley civilization, the Marathas, the Rajputs and the Holkars, had been made and still reside in Rajasthan. The Amber Fort, the Chittaurgarh Fort at Chittor, the Kotah Fort and the Junagarh Fort at Bikaner are some of the Fort that stand upright still and the visitors can still see the awesome creation of past rulers of the land.

 

In the history of the Rajasthan Forts, the Neemrana Fort Palace was built by Prithvi Raj Chauhan III, in the year 1464. It is one of the most ancient ruins of the leftovers of the history of Rajasthan. People and tourists usually travel to these places and enjoy learning about the culture prevalent years ago in the royal state of Rajasthan. The Lake Palace in Udaipur, the Deogarh Mahal in Udaipur, the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, Hawa Mahal and Amber Palace in Jaipur are some of the most attractive palaces and forts in Rajasthan. The exterior of these forts resemble perfect beauty of Royal architecture.
