Weather in Turkey

The climate in Turkey hovers in extremes. The place has really cold winters, and extremely hot summers. The place is humid as well, with the amount of rainfall during the month of summer. The month of summer prevails in Turkey from June- August. This is the time when the temperatures as well as the prices are high. The crowds are expected to book their trips from beforehand. While going for this area visit, it is much important to know the season and its consequences and make preparation accordingly as change of season can be much risky for individual health.


The high season in Istanbul prevails from the month of April- May and from September to October. This is the time where tourists are attracted to the place. The Turkish schools get over during the month of Mid June for the summer holidays. The Turkey weather during summer exceeds the temperature of 50 degrees, and the winters drop down below 10 degrees. Hence it is wiser to be here in the days when the temperature does not have great variation so that one can enjoy the visit to various areas.


There are fewer crowds seen during the month of May to September. But this is the time when the streets are crowded with the locals due to festivities. Autumn and spring during the month of October to April, are seen to attract the least number of crowds. During this time the tourist places are mostly closed or some of them offer discounts to get more customers. Istanbul’s low season prevails from the month of November to March. Hence, if one can move in here during the off-season the tour can be better experience as one can see the places without crowd and also enjoy the visit to various monuments and other places.
